Steve Byrd, CLU is the owner and founder of Byrd Financial and Santa Barbara Health Insurance Services. Steve is committed to helping his clients make smart decisions in the areas
of retirement, insurance, and estate planning.
Steve started in the insurance and financial services business in 1988 after earning a degree in Business Economics from UCSB in 1987. Steve has earned his Chartered Life Underwriter
(CLU) designation from the American College by passing a series of ten exams on topics such as Retirement Planning, Financial Planning, Estate Planning, Life Insurance, and Investments.
Steve is a 17 year member of the National Association of
Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has qualified for many
industry awards during his career such as the National Quality
Award, the Million Dollar Round Table, and the Executive Council
of New York Life.
Steve volunteers his time and resources to the Santa Barbara
County United Way, where he is a current member of the CEO
club and has served on the campaign cabinet for the last
ten years. He is also sits on the board of directors for
the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce.
Rob Cavaness is a founding partner of Santa Barbara Health
Insurance Services. Rob has over 17 years of customer service
and sales experience. He graduated with a bachelor’s
degree in Economics from the University of California at
Santa Barbara in 1988. He is a member of the National Association
of Health Underwriters and is also active with the Washington
School Foundation.
Rob is committed to helping people make smart decisions
with their individual and group health insurance. Often times
he is able to show them a much smarter and less expensive
way to insure themselves. He has the client's best interests
at heart at all times.
